Poster # 2070 Acute Loco-Regional Toxicity of a Novel Fractionation Scheme for Accelerated Partial Breast Irradiation (APBI) Using 3-D Conformal Radiotherapy (3D-CRT)

Presenter: Parima Daroui, MD, PhD

About the Presenter:
Dr. Daroui received a BS in Chemistry (1995) and a Masters in Organic Chemistry (1997) from Azad University in Tehran, Iran. She then enrolled into a Doctoral program in Molecular Biosciences at Rutgers University, with a research focus on Topoisomerase Inhibitors. Her thesis project focused on the role of oxidative stress and Topoisomerase-induced DNA damage. During her first year as a PhD student, she was accepted into a joint MD/PhD program at Rutgers and UMDNJ- RWJMS; she completed her Doctorate in Molecular Pharmacology in 2004 followed by a Doctorate in Medicine in 2006. She is currently chief resident in Radiation Oncology at the residency program at UMDNJ/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS) under the direction of Dr. Bruce Haffty.
